So much waiting. So much preparation. So many moments to imagine. Finally it's time for something concrete: a prologue that will provide a taste of the days to come...

Headings that are easy to follow. Terrain that is not too challenging and is relatively straightforward to read on the map. Small zones of sand that are easily crossed or avoided. The prologue is an opportunity for the Gazelles to practice their map reading, navigation and driving skills. The route doesn't stray far from the bivouac, though it may be hidden behind small patches sand dotted with vegetation (called camel grass, although you only find dromedaries in Morocco) or hilly terrain crisscrossed by dried river beds (oueds or wadis).

The prologue gives rise to a first ranking that is used only to establish the starting order for the next day. Tonight the Gazelles will enjoy their first evening at the bivouac and perfect their preparation for the first leg.
